does anyone know if this ecm is a particulary hard one to write a new bin file for . In the past we have had a fix fairly quick but this time it seems to be taking longer

just keep checking here and look for your receiver wen the bins are released the will be there http://www.aaafta.com/forum/file-download-section/

OMG that last post is hilarious! Anyway to answer your question the bin should show up on here pretty soon after its released. Just search for your receiver model and you should be able to find it (ie I have a coolsat 8100 so i would search for that).

What do you need to watch so bad?? Thats exactly why I keep my cable subscription.

Why does Sonicview, if it supposed to be such a good box take to long to get a new bin file? I'm becoming quite deceived by this box.. How are bin file found anyhow? If I can help with the search let me know.. I have loads of equiptment..

hello to find the file you need to look at the top of this page you will see a tab called AAAFTA help forum , click on that link then you will see all of the information found here , just scroll down until you see the list of recievers and click on the one that you have and see if it is a newer bin than you are using.It has to be the correct bin for your reciever or damage could result from loading.you can just click on the link in the post above by aladin 13.

you can download a program to make bins i think binmaster or something to that effect.Other than that I wouldn't know and I will take my chances on waiting a few hours for the coders.Sonicview has had great support in the past and I wouldn't be trying to learn to write a bin just yet.Try and google binmaster and see what comes up...

i would wait for the pros. i imagine they have equipment they use to determine what is in the streams and the rest is prob high level algorithms. i dont think this is a trivial matter to write these things.
