Sonicview SV-360 Premier Perfect Scan Method
If you are having trouble getting all of the channels on your Sonicview SV-360 Premier, then this guide is for you. There is a few little settings and things we have to understand to get them all. The first thing you need to do is load the V0119W Clean System file and follow the directions there if you have a new receiver. Then, you need to load the latest bin file after that. If you have prior scans, write down your antenna settings if you are sure they are right. Many of you ony have a few channels missing, so your antenna settings are probably fine. Then you will need to do a Factory Reset with the remote. This example will be for setting up a Dish 500 with a Dish Pro LNB, as these are the most common dish and LNB combinations out there. Go into the Antenna Settings, and first turn Off the LNB Power, and then turn it back to On. What this will do is turn all the LNB Powers to Off in the whole list of satellites. This is what we want, by default they are all On. Also, turn Network Search to Off as well. Just change the settings that you need to, they should look like the below: Sat: Echo 7 119W LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 22KHZ: OFF LNB Power: ON Transponder: 12224 <- To see quality Search Opt: All Network Search: Off <- Important DiSEqC: Port 1 Motor: Disable Legacy Switch: OFF Now, you should see Quality and the same satellite name appears above the graph area in the blue box as the one you are setting up, and displayed below the graph. They have to match, and this will tell you that you have the settings right. Hit the Red button to Scan channels here, and Save when it is finished. Now, you have to turn the LNB Power back to Off for Echo 7 119W when you are done scanning. Now, setup the next satellite. Sat: Echo 8,10 110W LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 22KHZ: OFF LNB Power: ON Transponder: 12239 <- To see quality Search Opt: All Network Search: Off <- Important DiSEqC: Port 2 Motor: Disable Legacy Switch: OFF Now, you should see Quality and the same satellite name appears in the graph area as the one you are setting up again. Hit the Red button to Scan channels here, and Save when it is finished. Since we are only scanning these 2 satellites, we are done. Be sure to go back to the Echo 7 119W antenna settings and turn the LNB Power back to On and Save. The LNB Powers only need to be Off for scans. If you forget, you will remember when the channel you try to view doesn't work. If you did a Factory Reset, be sure to adjust your Time Zone to your area. Also enter your State and City for Remapping Local Channels to your Local Channel Area. The gist of this method is to have the LNB Power OFF for all the other satellites you are not scanning, and be sure to have the Network Search Off as well. You can also scan this way over the top of other scans when you find channels missing. You will not get the double channel problem. When the receiver finds the same channel somewhere else on another TP, it will just update that information, and add any new channels it finds. It is recommended that you rescan your channels at least once a month, or whenever you find channels missing. The providers move channels to different transponders all the time.

Re: Sonicview SV-360 Premier Perfect Scan Method
You may not have the DiSEqC switch setting right, you have a different LNB, or your dish is misaligned. Generally, if you setup the Dish 500 by yourself, the dish has to lean to the left as you are facing it. Now, this depends where you are located. Since you are in Jersey, then definately, the dish needs to be skewed. Also, this thread is about scanning channels. I guess it's semi-related, but, it sounds like you have an alignment problem. It was better to start your own thread for this. Skew the Dish 500 on the back of the dish to around 127. The whole dish turns like a steering wheel, loosen the 2 nuts, and check the graduations on the back. Your new elevation should be 28. Now, these numbers are for a mast pole that is dead level (left to right, and front to back). Swing the dish on the Echo 7 119W antenna settings until you get signal, and tweak it there. The Echo 8,10 110W signal will be there as well on DiSEqC port 2.
Good Luck !!

Re: Sonicview SV-360 Premier Perfect Scan Method
do you use tp 12239 for both sats? or 12239 for echo 7 and 12224 for 8? it's confusing because in some other posts they say to use 12239 for 7 and 12224 for 8. What is the correct or best way? i tried them both and they both work. What would be the difference? thxs again!!
