Every time I try to restart my computer from a warm or cold booth, the computer goes into the routine of shutting down programs.

It comes to a point where a window appears and it is trying to shut down the "O" program. I don't know what the hell that is! I am working with a Gateway 504GR Pentium 4HT and Windows XP home edition. Virus block McAfee PC protection plus. All software up to date, Windows XP Home to Service Pack 3.

The window opens and is giving a not responding warning with the "END NOW" BUTTON. As soon as it is pressed then the computer finishes the shutting down routine and will reboot as required from the warm or cold reboot.

I tried to delete all "O" programs I could find with the search tool from the Home XP version via the Explorer and at first try I found about 5 of these programs and deleted them all while the " O " could not be found after that it still does show up at the shut down routine. and every time the "END NOW" button must be pressed for the computer to shutdown or restart.

Can anyone help with this problem?
