COPY or CLONE One Viewsat Platinum or Plat Lite To Another - Guide

How To COPY one Viewsat to another. This will work if you are copying a Platinum Lite to a Platinum, and vice versa. This procedure in no way will turn your genuine Viewsat receiver into a clone. This is a method of copying data from one receiver to another. The term "CLONE" here should have no negative implications.

1. Connect the "Master" Viewsat to your TV; Rear Power switch "ON"

2. Connect the "Clone" to the wall power; Rear Power switch "OFF"

3. Connect the "Master" and "Clone" ViewSats using a NULL MODEM cable

4. With the Remote, Hit Menu -> Installation -> Receiver Upgrade -> All Information

5. Press "OK" and the "MASTER" Viewsat sets up to send data to the "Clone" ViewSat

6. Turn the "Clone" Viewsat's power switch to "ON" and the transfer begins

NOTE: After the transfer is completed, the New "Clone" Viewsat needs an extra couple of minutes to process the transferring of data

Watch the Front Panel Display on the "Clone" Viewsat.

"Inst" will be displayed for about 15 seconds

"DONE" will be displayed for about 10 seconds

REBOOT will occur automatically without user intervention "On" will be displayed during reboot

"00.00" will show when the "Clone" has finished, around a minute after the total data transfer, then wait an extra 15 seconds to be sure it is done processing

You may now Power "OFF" the "Clone" ViewSat, disconnect the NULL MODEM cable and go use your new Clone Viewsat
