Re: help

Sonicview (w/ iHub), Kbox(w/ KHub), CNX(w/ dongle) and Nfusion (except the Nova on DN) are all working.

IKS stands for Internet Key Sharing, it's a way to connect your box to the internet to decode encrypted signals. Viewsat has said they will never go that route.

Re: help

Well at the moment some people are saying the Kbox is working well. The Sonicviews are coming along with minor freezing problems but I think personally that someday the Sonicviews are going to be king. That's just my opinion though. I personally wouldn't get an Nfusion but that's up to you. I can't really tell you much about the CNX or it's IKS system as it's relatively new and I don't think there are as many people testing them as other models.

If you really want help deciding look into each box and make you own choice.

For HD look into the SV8000 with the iHub and 8psk A-1 module. It's a little pricey but it's well worth it. I have one fully decked out and I can't say enough great things about it, I love it.

For SD I would look into the Kboxes that are comaptible with the KHub and the SV-360 line.

Also keep in mind when looking into a new box that the N3 fix could be just around the corner. That's not to say it is, but it could be. Might save you some money in the long run. I have a friend with a Viewsats that wants to go the IKS route. I tell him at this point it's still best to wait. But again that's one of those things that's up to you.

Good luck!

Yes, I think all of them need a constant internet connection.
