Re: Viewsat 7000 Pvr
Just two cables, long enough to reach the receiver from the dish LNB system. There is a switch system built into the 1000.2 LNB. Once you look at it, you will notice the dish 1000.2 can handle 3 receiver lines, and also has an additional LNB IN for another dish. Many guys use a Dish 300 with a single DP LNB for Nimiq 1 to hook into the Dish 1000.2 for testing BEV.
Read your Dish 1000.2 manual, it will tell you the easiest way to sight in that dish. Also, pay attention to the skew factor, which will make your dish lean funny. The skew factor depends on your zipcode. It will look funny at first, but it will work great though. Be sure your mast pole is level left to right, and on the up and down. The numbers will work best. Receiver Settings: Echo 7 119W LNB Power: On LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 22KHz: Off TP: 12239 DiSEqC: Port 1 Motor: Off Legacy SW: None Echo 8 110W LNB Power: On LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 22KHz: Off TP: 12224 DiSEqC: Port 2 Motor: Off Legacy SW: None Echo 5 129W LNB Power: On LNB Type: OCS-DP LNB Freq: 11250 22KHz: Off TP: 12282 DiSEqC: Port 3 Motor: Off Legacy SW: None Note: You cannot save the TP numbers in the settings. When you are tweaking the dish, you have to remember to change the TP to the corresponding satellite above. The 1000.2 LNB has a DiSEqC switch built into it. Adjust the dish for best signal for Echo 7 119W, first. Then pivot the dish subtly on the skew to get the highest Q signal on Echo 5 129W. Then tweak the dish for highest signal on Echo 5 and Echo 7. The signal for Echo 8,10 will be there.
