I also have a Problem with PVR 7000

I got the latest file and unzipped it. Connected PVR to Computer null modem cable. Loaded new file, reconnected PVR to Sat and TV after installing new bin 090108II. PVR showing signal and strength but no sound or video.

When I first loaded the bin I waited until END showed up and counted to 6 and turned off machine from back switch however the END was still showing at the time that I turned the power off from back.

So since the PVR was not working properly, I downloaded the file again and extracted it in a different folder on computer. Got the PVR disconnected from SAT and TV and connected to computer again with null modem making sure the power was off until the null modem cable was connected.

Reloaded the file the one I just downloaded and installed it again this time waiting until machine rebooted and went to last channel. Disconnected machine from computer and reconnected it to the TV and SAT again plugging the 7000 power cable only after all other connections were made.

Still no picture or sound, it even showed at times no signal strength.

Should I try to reload last file again?
or Should I try to reload fact BIN 3 times and then load latest BIN?

Please help

The PVR7000 file is still being worked on as they are having a few issues. It will get released as soon as they have it ready.

Yes but still no new file for it yet!

I particularly love this unit. The only thing they should have included is a USB port at the front for quick upload like the Ultra.

Did you know you can record two shows and still watch a third one on it as long as it is on the same TP?

Re: I also have a Problem with PVR 7000

I have the channels on the guide
but nothing but black when I choose that channel...
so I took the advice of those who told me to clean up using a download to it's virgin state and then pulled channels down from echo 7 and 10 ...but can't find channel 101 to let it sit for 5 minutes , then downloaded the latest bin file ..the only channels I get are 100 103 468 470 485 500 basicly when you go to "edit channels" the only channels I get are the ones without the "$" sign beside it I've lost channel 101 200 and others I don't know about yet
Not sure what I'm doing wrong
