VS PVR recording experiencing an anoying issue!
I am now experiencing an issue with the PVR recorder that I don't particularly know how it occurs or why it does.
Be looking at a show and recording it at same time for future playback, but the playback is plagued with freezing frame and scattering signal as if there was a terrible storm affecting the capture of the signal. This occurs on the recording while the show viewed at the same time is perfectly clear. Is the drive bad? I reformatted it to clear this us if this was the case without success of clearing this issue. Can someone let me know if they have experienced this or if there is a solution? Thanks much.

It sounds like the drive could be bad try reformatting it a few times and see if that clears it if not try another hard drive and see if it does it as well

Re: VS PVR recording experiencing an anoying issue!
Another couple of things to try is to flash the bin file one more time, or better yet, 2 more times.
I always turn Off the unit and disconnect the LNB cable before upgrading. Maybe another idea is to find the Timeshift setting and change it from Auto to Off. Then see if the problem persists. That way we will know it might be a software bug.

Another thing to check is your USB connection. I've had issues similar to this with cables that claim to be USB 2.0, but are not. Another, remote, possibility is that the drive is just too slow.

Re: VS PVR recording experiencing an anoying issue!
Well I can now report back that the fixes did not work. First let me tell you what I did:
Aside from reformatting the drive as I did before, I flashed the file twice on the unit, then decided to reset to factory default, after I re-flashed the last file and set the parameters for the 110 and 119. Recorded two shows and the problem still exist, but not as bad as before. The unit records at least 3 hours per day, the drive is 300g and runs fine. So either I have a problem with cables....my thoughts.....or even the LNB? On another issue the guide does not move as well again with the famous warning Wait a second....that problem had been fixed before recently but now it is back again. Perhaps coders should review the file? (suggestion) Any other suggestions? Thanks again to those that have already replied.

Re: VS PVR recording experiencing an anoying issue!
Did you try to find the Timeshift setting and change it from Auto to Off ??
Then do another recording and see what happens.
