just wondering if this box is done(viewsat pvr7000)? I thought i read somewhere that there was going to be a fix for it. i see some fixes for the other viewsats but not this one. plz let me know about this. if this is done can any one tell me a good stand alone box to use that does the same thing. thanks!!

There's no fixes for N3 at all just yet. The fixes you see are for Telefonica which is a S. American TV provider that's still using N2 encryption. it's hard to say if they will support that model after they get N3 figured out, only time will tell.

New files released are for Telefonica only, what sats are you pointed at ? There are still no new files for N3 but lots of rumors about a possible fix coming out soon for VS.

VS rep is still saying they get closer each day with their "in house" team.
Latest statement was made Sept 6 emphasizing this.

It is still wait and see and there is "no" deadline or release dates for this.

The 7000 is still an excellent box for your FTA needs and TF as was
mentioned if you are inside the foot print. There are some IKS alternatives
out there and u shud read the help sections on them and channel lists.
You may already have a box that only needs a dongle or you may want
to start new with an NF type of model. Also, after you read up on the
alternatives, look at price range and yes check out the latest channel
lists (again) for each one also. A lot of work but then you make your own
decision and it will be a right one for you.

thanks guys. i am just waiting like you all i just don't know about these things all that well. you all have helped me so much in the past i just hope there is a future in this. i cant do a iks system i don't have internet at my place (im broke and no job like a lot of people) hope they get this fix out cus im getting board of all the court tv. thanks again aaafta rocks
