Problem with VS Pro channel programming

I downloaded the bin off the site, the newest one and did default factory reset then downloaded the bin on there

when I find the signal it gets to 80 percent and the quality at like 74 percent and they color up

but when I do a channel search, it puts on the t.v channels on the radio side and when I try and view them only sound comes out

help!

Re: Problem with VS Pro channel programming

Look on your VS remote for a button that looks like a small tv and music note.
Press that once to switch back over to the tv channels.

Let us know if that is what is going on according to what spyder123 told you.

If not, we may have to do some surgery with other files.

Do not worry, they are easy to do.

Re: Problem with VS Pro channel programming

Do a Factory Default with the remote first.

Load the latest factory file in this package and write it to your receiver.
Here is the link --> Viewsat VSPRO VS PRO New Factory Bin File V107

Then do another Factory Default with the remote.

Then, you may have to write the latest bin file next.

Here is that --> Latest New Bin File Viewsat VS PRO VSPRO 090324A-II Improvement Fix

The reason why we are doing this is all the new bin files are now written for the New GUI, and you may have had an older factory file installed for the original GUI the VS Pro used.

Do a Factory Default with the remote after you write the latest new bin file.

That should fix you up.

Any problems, let me know.

If you get the problem again, something might be wrong in your Antenna Settings.

You need to have the right LNB type entered you are using. (OCS-DP for Dish Pro or Standard)
You also need LNB Freq: 11250

If you would read on your LNBs (LNBs are called "the eyes") and see if they say Dish Pro or have big black DP letters then we can give you the correct settings. Describe your dish as best you can.

Good Luck !!

Re: Problem with VS Pro channel programming

Factory Default with the remote.

Download, Unzip and Install this --> Viewsat VS Pro VSPRO Satinfo Sat File U00D 3-25-09

Load it like a bin file, the receiver will know what to do with it.

Factory Default again from the menu with the remote.

Tell me if the TV channels are on the correct side when you setup and scan now.

You have to watch the satellite name appear at the top when entering settings. That name that appears has to match the same satellite you are setting up.

Try these settings ...
I am not positive, you need to type more clearly, the dpt above is throwing me. If you have separate LNBs I may need the switch information. If you have a Twin LNB, meaning 2 LNBs in the same casing, then try the settings below for Legacy Twin LNBs.

Echo 7 119W

LNB Power: On
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
22KHz: Off
TP: 12239
DiSEqC: None
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: SW42 Dish 1

Everytime you go into the settings for the above, you have to change the TP to 12239 to see a Quality signal on the Q meter. The S meter only shows a connection to an LNB. The Q meter is the actual pointing strength. When you get good Quality, a satellite name will pop up on top. That has to match what you are setting up. You cannot save the TP number here, only temporarily change it, as it is a system area.

Echo 10,11 110W

LNB Power: On
LNB Type: Standard
LNB Freq: 11250
22KHz: On <-- Generally for Legacy LNBs
TP: 12224
DiSEqC: None
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: SW42 Dish 2

If the LNBs are separate, use Legacy SW: SW21

If you have a Dish Pro Twin LNB, use the DiSEqC settings.

LNB Type would then be OCS-DP for both.
Echo 7 is DiSEqC Port 1
Echo 10,11 is DiSEqC Port 2
The 22KHz and Legacy SW settings would both be Off or None.

Good Luck !!
