I just bought a new VS PRO but after I loaded and followed every step outlined in both the manual and here I kept getting " NO SIGNAL " .No channel is working even though the signal is fine. Can anyone out offer any kind of help.Been struggling with this now for 2 days.

You need a good Q (signal strength) and S (connection between the receiver and dish) reading. What percents are you getting for these readings? Is this a new dish setup as well?

I was using CS 7100 with the same DN 500 PLUS. I am getting about 77% signal and about 24% Q.

24 is too low, that could be why you're not getting channels. You can try using different lnb types in the antenna settings and see if signal Q reading improves, if not you might need to tweak the dish a little.

boboisno1 beet me to it. Your Quality is low. What are your antenna settings. What sats are you testing. What was the Quality with your last stb?

Could you please give me the best stat for Echo 7,119 W.My receiver is VS PRO.Do I have to reset everything to factory default? After that what next do I do to start receiving channels.My receiver have 2 diseqs-1 and 1.1. which one do I use. Kindly help.

No .For now I am pointing to echo 7 119 to set up and after that I can also point to echo 8 etc

Tell us exactly the equipment you are using! I see you stated a DN 500...Take a look at the back of the lnb.Does it say dish pro? Is there black letters on the back of the lnb? Are you tying in to an existing setup or did you set the dish up youreself ? what sats are you trying to pick up? Help us to help you....I have a vspro also so we can get this going my friend....

The signal has greatly increased to 87 and the quality to 86 ,but all channels are all scambled.May be VS is down.

Just put it on channel 200 for up to 20 minutes, sometimes longer and wait.

Somebody installed this dish for me right at the top of the house.There are 2 different types of LNB-the first is twin type and the other is single and the dish is DN PLUS ,that's all.

Ok so you have 2 lnb`s mounted on a y yoke at the end of youre dish 500.If there is black lettering on the back of the lnb`s then they are dp,if not they are legacy lnb`s..you will have to set these in lnb freq...Is there a switch involved? If so what type? does it have 4 inputs and one output? just tryin to break it down to get you going....

Thanks a lot for your patience with me. I am really a Newbie in this thing.Like you rightly said the letters on the LNB is dp.The switch has 4 inputs on opposite side and 2 inputs on one side.3 cables were connected on 3 of the 4 inputs on opposite sides and only 2 cables on the other side.However only one cable was let into the house.

I have put it on channel 200 and nothing seems to be happening.It's more than 40 Minutes now and counting.There is a $ sign on it and the screen is blank.There is no more "NO SIGNAL" sign ..It is okay to reset every thing to factory default and reload the loader and the latest Bin files again? Kindly advise.

Did you check to see if Auto Roll is turned on. Maybe even try rebooting receiver with rear power switch.

Is youre software version 090309? you can check this under product info in youre menu.
