Viewsat Xtreme Perfect Scan Method for DishPro and DishProPlus LNBs

* * * For Viewsat Receivers ONLY * * *

Perfect Scan a Dish 500 equipped with Dish Pro (Twin or Quad) LNBs

NOTE: Before performing any of these steps make sure you go into your antenna setup and write down all the settings if you have a complicated setup – You Will Need Them Later.

- First you will need to do a Factory Reset (on a Viewsat it's a Factory Default in the menu)

- Then go into your Antenna Setup and configure

- You will then set your LNB type to OCS-DP and select the DiSEqC port for this satellite.
[119w is DiSEqC Port #1 and 110w is DiSEqC Port #2]

NOTE: If you are scanning 119 then you should turn the power OFF to the LNB of the antenna you are not scanning...

- Now commence your satellite scan by selecting “F1” or the RED button

* NOTE * - The reason to use an Autoscan versus a Blind Scan is because Viewsats have an option "Network Update" which by default is "ON" and will automatically update all your Transponders eliminating the need for Blind Scans)

At the end of this process do the same for the next satellite repeating the steps above. Once you have completed all scans you will need to go back and reconfigure all Dish Pro LNB settings as follows:

LNB Type: OSC-DP

DiSEqC for 119w is Port #1 and DiSEqC for 110w is Port #2

NOTE: You should not have changed the DiSEqC settings, posted above for reference.
